eLibrary: Pala Empire (8th-12th century)

This exhibition explores The Pala Empire who were the last great Buddhist kingdom of India and a centre of learning, pilgrimage, and artistic innovation. From the monasteries of Bihar and Bengal, its artistic traditions spread to Nepal, Tibet, Southeast Asia, and beyond.

This is the latest version of an electronic library of resources supporting the exhibition. It offers free and immediate access to online resources for anyone wanting to explore further the context of the museum’s artifacts.  As the museum develops, more resources, in more languages, will be added.
